Ok..a lot of new people always asking about fishing..so here's a complete guide to tell u all about fish.
first of all u need an instrument for fishing called fishing trap, u can buy a fishing trap from any merchant for 40 geons, I see some people selling those for 100 but it's easily obtained from any merchant..
Next, after u've bought the fishing trap u go to an NPC called "Fishing grounds keeper"…u can find one in each town that has water like Narutooh, cargo station, city of the priest..and so on..
when u walk by water and your pc start to slowing down and u see a lot of gathering people..u'll find him
;..he'll be in the center of all those people..it's hard to pick him with your mouse so here's a tip that I found usefull..look from above and start hovering your mouse upon him till u get his label, then click it.
Ask him then to set up a fish trap and there u go..u'll character will start to fish.
Fishing is the best way to leave your character with when u're afk..beside selling if u have stuff to sell..fishing will make u money from selling fish or save u money by using fish as meds..also will let your character egging if u have an egg equipped and also u'll be coining now
U can catch 5 types of fish..
1-Goby
Gobies are the lowest type of fish..it used as a medicine and it restores 300 hp when used.prices ranges from 60-70 u can either use them or sell them with the price that you like.
2-Mackerel
Exactly like the above..but u can also cook Mackerel..
to cook u take the fish u got and go to a female NPC called Mistress..u click on her and ask her to cook for u..
u can get 3 types of recipes from Mackerel..
a- 1 mackerel +10 geons = 5 backed mackerel in soy sauce.
Restores 100 points of health.
b- 1 mackerel +10 geons = 2 backed mackerel with spicy sauce.
Restores 200 points of health.
c-1 mackerel + 10 geons = 1 hard boild mackerel.
Restores 300 points of health.
I didn't mention any of the prices for those because these items are useless IMHO..it's best to use the fish to restore 300 points of health without going to mistress and do all this stuff..especially the last one..it's so funny actually
3-Salamon
salamon are a higher type of fish..price is 650..people sell it for more or less but that's the reasonable price I sell salamon with..it can be used as a med like the above but nobody use it to do that..u use salamon for cooking..
a-1 slamon +100 geons = 1 smoked salamon
restores 400 helth points
b-1 salamon +200 geons = 1 hard boiled salamon
restores 500 health points
HB salamon is the highest lvl medicine in the game since there's no large medicine in the game yet..it can be sold for 850 geon
Smoked salamon is better than medium medicine of course but it's better to have HB salamon..
4-Eel
eel is by far the hardest thing to catch..and I've fished a lot..u can sell eel for 4-5k geons..when cooked u get..
a-1 eel+1000 geons = 1 backed eel
increases the physical attack power by 10% for 1 hour
b-1 eel +1000 geons = 1 eel soup
increases the magical attack power by 10% for 1 hour
both are cool and worth 5 – 5.5k geons..
personally I never sell those..I use them all the time..
5-Sea Bream
sea-bream is a whole another story..u can sell SB for 4 - 4.5k but u can also use sea-bream to make a speed up medicine..
speed up medicine is used to increase the speed of the user for 30 minutes..exactly like running except u don't lose any energy points.
It equals the effect of a G3 speedup skill used by lvl 38+ mages..
to make a speedup medicine u go to the speed chemist with the following items
1- 1 or more sea bream fish
2- bamboo keg: u can buy it from merchant for 98 geon.
3- 4 demon blood: when monsters die sometimes they drop it..
all non ghost based demons can drop demon blood even valguars and scouts. or if u so desperate u'll find people selling it in private shops for 70 geons or more..
u ask the chemist to make u a sea bream with blood first. this can be sold alone for 4-4.5k..sometimes monsters drop it too..
u go back to the chemist with 1 sea bream with blood and pay him 500 geons to have him make u a speedup medicine which can be sold for 5-5.5k..used to sell it for 6k back in the good old days but mages ruined everything
this is what u can expect from fishing..
u can double the speed of fishing if u have a stone of fishery equipped..this is a kal item so u can buy it from the kal site with real cash or buy it from players in the game..I bought my last one with 65k but prices got raised since the new update so It's hard to find one with this price..
