TheDarkRose's Expert Archer Guide
~My way of being a Expert Archer
This Guide has 5 parts, first part is how you are supposed to spend your skillpoints, second is about the skills i have now (at LVL 52), Thirth part is my opinion of EA skills I get in the future. 4th part is what kind of equipment you should try to get and final part are my credits.
Part 1, Stats:
I don't gonna talk about strengt archer, hybrid archer or so cause my own experience is it's kinda confusing when you start playing.
Like all guides tell you putt all your points in agility the first few lvl's because it increase you Staggering Blow's power and you can evade enemy's attacks easily.
I suggest putting all points in agility till you have 70. After that putt each lvl 2 points in agility and 1 in strengt in order to get more OTP because your main attack is Staggering Blow and it just take a while to charge so it's pretty crappy if you miss all the time.
When your agility gets 80 putt 1 point in agility eacht lvl, you will keep 3 spare points so you can putt 2 in strengt and 1 in health. Do it like this till your base agility reaches 90.
After that I think the best way to spend your points after that is putting 3 in strengt, 2 in health each even lvl (2, 4, 6, 8 etc.) and each uneven lvl (1, 3, 5, 7 etc) 1 wisdom, 2 strengt and 2 health till your strengt hits 50.
After that make sure you get 30 Wisdom and 50 health. Continue putting 1 health and 1 strengt each lvl.
You will keep 1 spare point each lvl.
Putt those points in health till you hit 70 cause it will give you a nice health boost at lvl 50 when you get Life Extention. After that finish making your strengt 70.
When you have 70/70/8/30/90 as base stats you should add some extra wisdom but I don't know how you should spend your other points.
Part 2, Skills till lvl 52:
Wondering Archer:
Bow Mastery: Don't get this skill till you are lvl 56 and use Focus Shot (G2) as main attack since it's not that usefull, 10 skill points for +5 min and +10 max physical. Since Focus Shot is A Multiplier it get ways better.
Staggering Blow (SB): I guess this is one of your main skills. It takes 3.2 seconds to charge this attack what can add max +900 dmg and 10 otp. Max it asap.
Passive Attack: Some ppl say its usefull but my own experience is that you do a little more damage for some mana, it ain't that usefull so don't take it.
Concentration: A really usefull passive skill, it increase your otp each grade by 2!
Heart Breaker (HB): A upgrade of staggering blow, you have the chance to stun a mob (sometimes red, mostly orange or lower) for a few seconds. It increase the damage al little but consumes more mana, has less otp and take a little longer to charge. Its a nice pvp skill and at higher lvl's it becomes more usefull. I took it right away but you can also take it later, your choise..
Fatal Blow: Gives you a chance to do extra dmg known as critical dmg, each grade it upgrades the chance of ocurance and the extra dmg added, its a usefull skill so max it!
Apprentice Archer:
Flamy Arrow: You need this skill in order to get Blow Up Arrow. Some people don't like Flamy/Blowup but i love it, it adds extra dmg and otp while fireing with regulair speed (0.8 sec each arrow) for some mana. This skill is great to do the last few hits so you won't waste more mana and time with SB. When you have high Explosive Blow (EB) on your weapon it's even more usefull since you only hit 1 time with SB while you hit with this one 4 times in the same amount of time so you have more chance getting EB
Blow Up Arrow (BA): One of the most usefull party skills a archer have, it also adds hostility good for keeping a mob while someone try to ks you and it adds more damage and otp as flamy do but consumes more mana. All the other advantage of Flamy does BA have. There are people who don't like this skill and there are people who love it. I love it, my way of training in D1 is first using FS (or SB if there is a lot ks) and combo it with BA.
Perfect Evasion: One of the most passive skills of a archer. It's the only skill that allows you to Evade magic of Mage's who are about your lvl or even higher. You have a chance to get perfect evasion for a short amount of time that means you evade all enemy attacks, it's great pvm as pvp. Max it asap!
Poison Arrow: Seems to be kinda usefull to poison your ennemy but each time you fire it consumes mana + poison pounch. It misses a lot versus pink/red mobs.
It does high dmg but take almost a minute to have max power and decrease the mobs hp to 1. (It don't kills) but most of the time it takes max about 20 sec's to kill a mob... some people love it, people like me dont take it. I think its kinda usefull while being IC to combo with pain but I'm EA so no thanks.
Musscle Solidation: It adds 5 min phys attack for 1 skillpoint, thats half the effect of bowmaster for only 1 skillpoint! I suggest you get it because it power ups your regulair arrow, Flamy, BA and Focus Shot.
Expert Archer:
Focus Shot (FS): At G1 it deals less dmg per seconds as SB does but it has a larger range and fully charged it's stronger as SB. Since it's a multiplier (G1 5x) it has a wide damage spread because when you crit hit, you hit really hard. (hitted almost 3.2k dmg in d3) After getting G2 your main attack since that deals more dmg/second as SB. It seems to miss a little more.
Range Extention: Increase youre range by 20, so you can fire over longer ranges. With G1 you can FS the flag from the ground during war and you can hit archers who don't have it while they can't hit you, and all other classes also of course, a must have!
Free Skills:
Sometimes when you lvl up you got a popup that tells you a new skill is availeble.
Arrow Of Silence (AoS): A nice anti-Mage skill. If you use it on a mage about your lvl or lower it silence the mage what means she can't use any skills for a amount of time. It's a nice skill for war to unable a mage to attack, heal or revive.
Chance Capture: Increase your otp and chance of making a crit hit, make sure this skill is activated all the time!
Life Extention: All classes get this one when they chose a second job. It's a passive skill that boost you Base health by 23%, at higher lvl's you get even more extra health but it don't stack with the healthpoints or healthstats enchanted on your equipment.
Part 3: Exper Archer skills after lvl 52:
Note: This is just how I think i would take my skills, haven't used them myself.
Powerfull Arrow Of Silence (PAoS): It is the same as normal arrow of silence but this one doesn't freeze the targeted Mage's skills, it also decrease their mana. I don't think I get this skill because I think it's kinda useless, only take this if you like fighting pvp all the time.
Ice Resistance: A pure PVP skill. This skill is to reduce the dmg done by Ice magic. I don't really know or it decrease the chance getting slowed. I won't take it.
Fire Resistance: A pure PVP skill. This skill is to reduce the dmg done by Fire magic. It's not that usefull since there aren't many high lvl fire mages so never take this one.
Lightning Resistance: A pure PVP skill. This skill is to reduce the dmg done by Lightning Magic. Its one of the most usefull elemental resistance because it decrease the amount done by shockwave and other lightning skills. Since lightning is the best 1 on 1 magic skill it's the most usefull resistance but I won't take it..
Curse Resistance: A pure PVP skill. It reduce the chance of getting Cursed by a IC. I won't take it.
Non Elemental Resistance: It decrease the dmg done by arrows of archers and the power of knight's swords but I don't really know this skill works pvm also, if it does I'm sure I take it, else I leave it.
Perfec Evasion 2: Finnaly you can increase the chance of getting perfec evasion! If you max Perfect Evasion 2 and 1 you will have 20% to dodge attacks, pvp as pvm so take it!
Critical Hit: Take this skill to upgrade your Fatal Blow's power.
Emergency Escape: For about half a minute you and your party members who are nearby get really fasts, it's about speed G10 or so. It's usefull when your party get mobbed and you wanna move away quickly, also it's nice to use to storm the piramid in war and finnally you can always use it if you think it's to far to walk. It has a cooldown of half a hour but the cooldown is gone when you quit the game and relog.
Mystery Arrow: Many high lvls combo this skill with FS. At G1 you fire 3 arrows so its a multiplier of 3x. At G2 it get 4x and G4 5x if i'm right. It's suposed to do continues dmg but it seems to be bugged. It's still a nice skill.
Part 4: The Equipment:
Weapon:
G1~G37: It ain't that important what weapon you take till you're going to look for a G40 weapon though expert would be nice.
G40: (Prob many ppl disagree with me..) The best G40 bow imo is the chultae, it combines avarage power with average otp, you don't need more because you have enough otp of the points putted in strengt. Second is the red tiger bow, most ppl say that's the best one because it has many otp, it's dmg is just low and the bow is expensive. The yelow tiger bow has just way to low otp to be usefull, you miss like hell with it even if you have spend your points in strengt to get extra otp. If you wanna have nice stats on it you don't need talismans to enchant, try to buy a Expert Chultea, I used my +10 Expert Chultea [9] 1 otp till I could effort a proper Yeon Lin.
G45: The Yeon Lin beats the Beak Dae at all fronts so don't think about using a Beak Dae. You can also get this one expert.
G48: Now the real trouble begins: The Red one has many otp but low attack, it's a IC bow imo or for full agility archers who have low strengt so low otp. The regulair savage bow is a bit better as a Yeon Lin but you need to buy one with a good Multistat enchanted tali since you can't get G48 Expert. The best EA G48 bow is the Blue one, it's otp is a little lower but it has 30 phys attack more. With FS that means 150 attack poinst extra without doing anything. The blue ones are the best but the most expensive because it's almost as usefull as a G50 bow. If you wanna enchant a tali you should enchant Breakthrough or Steely since Legendary or Kings is just a little too expensive.
G50: This meight be one of the hardest choises on weapons till now on. Since G50 is expensive it's important you take a good one right away. The worst is the Golden Crow Feater. It adds high otp but low dmg and look verry ugly imo. The hardest thing to do is to make a choise between Steel Bow and Steel Bow With Crow Feather. I chosed the Steel one myself because I could buy a nice pimped really cheap, about half the price it's really worth! I've no regrets of my choise, friends who use a Crow's Feather seems to miss a lot more as I do but Crow Feather looks cooler and at higher lvl's (55+) its better because FS get your main attack.
I guess this will do for a while..
Armor:
There are many different stats that are nice to putt on your armor.
Till G42: Just buy G42+2 agility pieces if you can affort them, else buy clean.
G46: Probably you will use this armor quite a while since G50 is so damn expensive. For a EA there are many nice stats to put on your armor.
At the start (around lvl 45) Try to make your armor Man's or Feathery, there both nice for EA. To be honest i would prefer man's but feathery is als nice.
After that (lvl 50+) you have many choises to enchant your armor with nice talismans, the best imo is Pridefull since it add's lot of hp. When you are low on mana Glorius is a nice solution.
Revenge's is more for IC since it adds agility, wisdom and otp so i would prefer, if you wanna add otp by enchanting Despotic for the strengt and health.
You should enchant like you think you need the most. Guess the best is 1 Glorius part, 3 Pridefull parts and 1 Revenge's/Despotic part. Imo it's best to combine stats like that.
Egg:
You can take a panther or a tiger, bird sucks because it add's inteligence instead of strengt (and its really slow either).
Panther: It adds most agility for evasion points, also it adds a little health and strengt. It's the fastest animal so thats a advantage. Traditional archers use this.
Tiger: Take this one if you need more otp because it adds many strengt, it's a little slower but has higer defence and fighting in animal mode tiger is way strongest though it's a little slower as a panther is. I'm not sure about the health it adds but I think tiger adds more strengt either. I would take a tiger if it was the same grade as my panther is now because it has more advantages, just buy a panther for transport.
Accesoires:
Trinket: First enchant your archer trinket to +4 agility or +4 Health. After that the best to do is take all Trinkets enchanted with 4 agility or health, that's make you a suitable archer for each party.
Ring/Protection Talisman (Belt): Take a ring and a belt with 4 agility as base equip. If you're wealthy after that take a +4 health ring and belt for pvp and eggparty's. Wisdom ain't that usefull but if you're still that rich you can take them to.
Part 5: Credits.
