Skill and Combo Guide -How to Rave-
Welcome to Chain's small guide on the attacks and techniques of your favorite class and mine, Knight. I'll show you some basic strikes, skills and how I find they work best, and some starter combination attacks to really work the body on whatever unlucky person finds themselves at the end of your sword.

A Brief Overview

-Normal Strikes-
AAS-Sieg swings twice horizontally and knocks the opponent upwards. Combos into itself indefinitly. This can be used as an air combo alone, to link attacks, or simply repeat ad infinitum on an enemy that cannot be knocked down i.e. Skeleton Generals or Bosses.

AASS-Same dealy, but another aerial blow is added. Is, for all intents and purposes, useless. Avoid adding the extra S, it will just make combos tougher.

Dash A-Sieg Runs forward and slashes horizontally. Is amazing for linking combination assaults together with the right timing, but it has lag after the hit, so don't use it as the first strike on anything. Arguably it's best use is right after a strike on an opponent in mid-air, dashing as soon as the strike connects, and pressing A right after. This will catch opponents, lift them into the air (slightly) and put you farther up to them to combo.

Dash AS- This should be avoided however, the S adds a shoulder slam, but it does not combo into regular A slashes like a normal Dashing S would. It also has a very pathetic float to it.

Dash S-Sieg rams into the opponent with his side. Is a good way to start into a combo, but it's fairly easy to miss with.

Regular S-Sieg dashes forward and swings his sword vertically upwards like a golf club, launching the opponent. Is encouraged on monsters, as it's forward dash will let you get the jump on them before they attempt to strike. Avoid this in a corner or near hazards, however. Normal strikes will miss opponents directly above you, ergo it's uselessness in corners or aginst walls.

AAASS-Sieg slashes thrice, then brings his sword down for two hits, and finishes with the golf-club vertical swing, launching the enemy(s). Can lift the opponent rather high and hits quite a few times but the S's take some time to connect. Don't use this in PvP, or against Bosses.

AAAAS Spacex3-Sieg Combos four times then stabs his enemy, up to four times. should be mastered, as it's much more practical and damaging than AAAAA in almost every way. (The only exception being that AAAAA has a wide hit arc on the last slash) It's also a very simple gateway to open up for much bigger combination attacks involving skills.

-Skills-
Cross Cut-Sieg quickly slashes twice in an X motion while dashing forward. Hits twice. This isn't a bad skill by any means, it simply gets outclassed. Regardless of that, it has a decent hit arc,is very fast, and does some decent damage at lower levels. Press Space to do a stabbing motion up to three times afterwards, leading on to more combos if you so wish it.

Triple Kick-Sieg Jumps into the air and kicks his opponent once, twice, three times, lifting them higher each hit. Not that spectacular, but you can count on it to knock them down as well as doing decent damage. Pressing S after this will do a downwards slash with very odd properties. It hits the opponent twice and floats them into the air. Comboable afterwards if you DashA.

Destructive Fist-Sieg Charges energy into his hand and blasts through the opponents in front of him with a powerful punch. Travels forward and does massive damage, by far the most you'll see with a single strike. It can hit multiple opponents and if it does kill them during the strike, the punch will continue past them. If they are still alive, Sieg will stop in front of the opponent. It uses a large amount of MP and takes around thirty seconds to cooldown, so aim wisely. A very good move, but completely uncomboable afterwards, regardless of what you might try.

Crescent Moon Sword-Sieg Reels his sword back behind him and slashes out forwards, throwing an arrow-shaped wave of energy. Powerful, multiple hits, decent MP cost, and a very wide hit box, I can recommend this one to no end. When you're just overwhelmed by enemies, or just looking to smackdown a boss, this technique won't let you down. You should be using this a lot.

Blow-Sieg charges into the opponent, knocking them down and stunning them temporarily. I would advise you to just skip this, it's weak damage, has a massive cooldown and the stun is very, very brief. Also hard to aim with, alongside having a small hitbox. Does not hit aerially.

Finishing Blow-Sieg spins himself around and slashes horizontally in a crescent shape in front of him, hitting opponents on the ground. Another skill that's just not up to snuff really. It only hits downed opponents (Or Crawling opponents as it says in the skill window but...have YOU ever seen a crawling opponent?) And is just as hard to hit with as pressing Space, because it hits in front of you. I suppose if you level this up, it may do quite a bit of damage, but...why not just press space? It's free, no cooldown...

Wind Kick-Sieg plants his sword into the ground and spins himself around, kicking opponents all around him once, then flies off forwards, while kicking enemies in front of him about five times in mid air. This skill is gold, when used correctly. It does good damage, nothing special really...until you notice it's seven hits when used on whatever's standing in front of you. It can also clear up the enemies around you in other directions. Also I'd advise this skill on bosses as long as you time it so you have a little time to run away afterwards. Very good skill here, for little MP. The charge time can be a bummer though, but it's not as bad as Fist.

Counterattack-Sieg Puts his sword in fro....Ok, who am I kidding here, this skill is trash and I've never, ever seen it work correctly, leading me to wonder if it's even implimented. Just...take it from me, ok? Save your skill point, you should never be trying to use this.

Ground Wave(Not the real name...It escapes me right now, bear with it)-Sieg Shoves his sword into the ground creating a small,worm-like trail of yellowish orange energy that shoots forward on the floor. This attack is interesting because it hits both opponents standing AND grounders. It hits twice, multiple opponents, for above-average damage and will go a little farther than full screen. A good move, though, it's MP cost is a tad bit high for me. I still find myself using it a lot.

Thunder Sound-Sieg once again goes all Harvest Moon on us and plants his sword in the ground, causing a massive red circular shockwave around him and knocking down every enemy that gets hit by it. This attack has a pretty darn huge area of effect and causes some mild Slow occasionally, but my beef with this attack is the damage. I've seen it hit 5, I've seen it hit 200, I've seen it hit 60. Regardless of my quarrel with the odd damage randomization, this is a very good skill when you or your allies are getting surrounded. This doesn't affect enemies already on the ground however.

Blade Boomerang(Once again, the real name escapes me)-Sieg Throws his sword horizontally out forwards. It travels a short distance, halts for a second, and returns, all while spinning furiously in the air. I don't have this skill quite yet so I really can't give any advice on it's use but I have seen it preformed a few times so I know the basic properties. It semms to hit about three times on standing or aerial enemies, floats somewhat, and comes out at a decent speed. Not easy to combo into aerially but not as hard as Fist. It is possible. The user is immobile during this short time. (If I'm incorrect here, please inform me, I'd like some input from people who actually have this.)

Will be continued as I level up and the game itself progesses...

-Combo School-
Here I'll offer some brief advice on combination assaults and a few of my own. These combos are by no means the only ones and I encourage you to visit the training arena and take a look at the combo lists for yourself.

As stated before, AAS goes into itself. Therefore, AASAASAAS works quite well.

AAASS can be followed into a few things itself, and it lifts higher than AAS. AAASS AASAAAA Space is a good combo that should finish off most of the small fry you encounter.
AAAAS Spacex3 Does not lift opponents so it's a good combo to use in a corner, or on a single enemy.

As stated above, Cross Cut,Triple Kick, and Wind Kick have unique aerial properties to them. You can apply these by using them to combo into eachother. A simple example is TripleKick S CrossCut Spacex2 Wind Kick. This can be done in a corner I believe.
You can add strikes before this as well. AAASAAA TripleKick Crosscut Spacex3 Wind kick is simple to preform. CrossCut can also switch places with TripleKick, but you may require a DashA to connect the kick afterwards. Both of the kicks are rather lenient on their hitboxes, which is why they usually work on enemies above you (Wind Kick especially, it's hard NOT to hit something with it). AASAA DashA Kick S Followup Is another combo I'd recommend, albeit the timing is strict on pretty much everything.

Destructive Fist is almost impossible to be combo'd into aerially (possible but very difficult), but on the ground, it's simple. AAAAS Spacex3 Fist. Easy. You don't even have to do that, just A Fist if you so prefer.

If you don't mind "cheating" a little bit, you can work a Crescent Moon Slash into a ground combination. Example: AAAAS Spacex3 Crescent Dash DashS Followup combo. Crescent will almost never combo aerially however, at least not by yourself. You would need someone else to set it up, as the time it takes to fire off is far too long.

Now for the Stun combo.Once again, this chain is a little cheating, depending on how you see it. If you got the Blow ability, simply insert that at the end of a ground combo, and start another chain once they get up. They'll be stunned.

Hopefully you've at least learned the basics and try to apply it to make your own crazy assaults against your foes, whether they be slimes, Drake himself, or just that guy in the Square that called you a noob. And hey, if I ever see you out there, go ahead and chat me up or ask questions. Show me your moves! I'll even teach you how to do a patented homegrown combo to preform and connect Fist aerially. (I hate to toot my own horn but it is impressive, and hard to pull off.)

See you in game, boys and girls.
