first you start out and this is what you do. First of all DON'T put any skill points in till lvl 5 or else you'll have less skill points!
if you want even more skill points complete the quest but don't actually complete it.(for example you do kill the 40 mangyangs but you don't talk to the general) this way you don't get exp and you save up skill points until you want to get the skill u've been saving up for. i'm doing this myself i didn't actually complete any quests and i'm stocking up on skill points so i get more skill points but less lvl.

Lv1 Chinese Tutorial
Chang`an:General Sonhyeon
1.Talk to Protector Seller Mrs Jang
2.Talk to General Goods Sellar JinJin and do what she asks
3.Buy 1 HP recover herb from drugstore
4.Kill Mangyangs
get lvl1 glove
get ume dong ring
get 140 gold
get 1 HP recover herb
get 20 HP recover herb

after that talk to the blacksmith and he'll tell you to talk to one of the soldiers on the South gate. go back and report to the blacksmith. you should be at least lvl 3 by now so do this quest.
Lv3 Lost Child
Chan'an Rich Village: Village Head Wong
Kill Big eye ghost till u get the Child's shoes and then return to Old man
Reward 150xp、190gold
and this quest

Lv3 Gyos Sweep
Chan`an Eastgate: Soldier Iyang
Kill 40 Gyo/Old Gyo(try and kill old gyos their easier)
get 760 xp、400 gold

by the time you finish that quest you should be lvl 4-5
now you should be ready to put skill points into your skills. pick magic if you wanna do alot of dmg but spend money on pots or sit around alot. pick weapon if you wanna save MP and kill longer. if ur going weapon put more in power if ur going magic put more in intellect. now with your newfound skills do this quest.(YES QUEStS aRE GOOD) but remember when HP is 0 ur dead when MP is 0 you can get more.
--==TIP==-- if u wanna lvl really fast join/create a respective party! u get more exp with no sharing no matter how far you are! u get 60 more exp with 3 ppl, 40 woth 2 and 20 with another person! great isn't it?

Lv5 Yangkiji's Anxiety
Chan`an Medicine Shop: Yangkiji
Kill 50 water ghost/ water ghost slave (slaves are alot easier)
get HP recover herb 11, 1500 xp

now this quest is kinda hard to do at lvl 5 unless you got ur lvl 5 equips. if not do it at lvl 6. by the time you finish this you should be near lvl 7 so buy lvl 5-8 equipment. try and get a new weapon at least. cuz the next two quests are hard.

Lv7 stone ghost sweep
Chan`an East Gate: Soldier Sanggwanam
kill 40 stone ghost/broken stone ghost
get 1800 xp, 750 gold

Lv7 Stone ghosts (the monolith/tablets)
Chan`an 慈恩 temple: Buddhist monk Jinhyeon
kill tomb stone ghosts to collect 8 litoghraphy/slates「般落波羅蜜多心經」
get 2100 gold、4800 xp、lowest lvl transport

by the time i finsihed this i was lvl 9(AND i partied with a friend) so now you have 2 last quests to go!

get lvl 10 weapon (depends on what u're holding I believe)

kill 50 bandit archer
get 3800 xp, 22 mp recover herb

the tree spirit quest is essental cuz you get ur lvl 10 weapon. bandit archer quest should be attemped at lvl 12 or if ur a good magicial user(and have alot of MP restore). well thats it!
