Countless humans and elves are arriving everyday at Ladianes Harbor. They are finally coming home. Several hundred years ago, Bogle wizards who lived in Veros, the land of elves, innocently conjured up a new magic healing potion and tested on dragon flies. The dragon flies soon began to mutate and spread a deadly disease in Veros which quickly spread to Ladianes the land of humans.

The disease killed off almost the entire population of humans and elves, but a small number of survivors manages to escape to the Isle of Fuan and survived and multiplied after many generations. For hundreds of years a small team of humans and elves have risked thier lives and to come to Ladianes and Veros to check whether the disease has disappeared

Recently, it has been confirmed that Ladianes and Veros are finally free of the disease but it has been also discovered that the land is filled with zombues and ghosts who were victims of the disease, as well as mutated creatures. Nonetheless, numerous humans and elves are immigrating back to ladianes and Veros. They face danger from creatures and ghosts from the past. This danger is nothing compared to the danger they pose to themselves.

As humans and elves resettle both in Ladianes and Veros, they will inevitably form tribes and claim as much stake in the land as possible. Turf battles are inevitable...

This game is known as Sephiroth in Korea.

The game servers and website shut down in 2007 after they were repeatedly hit by DDoS attack. The website is currently a holding page for the domain, the rumour is that a re-release of Turf Battles for North America and Europe is coming very soon, owned and ran by a new team, the one draw back with this is that the existing character and item database have been wiped by the previous team. The European and North American re-release version of the game (Turf Battles rather than Sephiroth) will take the action of blocking the IP addresses of the following countries:
China Korea Japan Indonesia and other Asian and South-Pacific countries.

A GM of the re-release of Turf Battles stated this was 'because of hacking and bug abuse occurances.'
